As you may know we were at the annual The Press Photographers Association of Ireland awards at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin. It was a Gala event hosted by the one and only Miriam O’Callaghan. It was a great coup for the organistation to have Uachtarán na hÉireann, a great Limerick man, Michael D. Higgins in attendance.

The awards have 9 sections, News, Daily Life and People, Sports Action, Sports Features, Portrait, Nature and the Environment, Politics, Arts and Entertainment and Reportage.

Fusionshooters Alan Place, Sean Curtin and Diarmuid Greene were all in attendance with wives and soon to be wives 🙂  Truly a great night on all our calenders. Congrats to Diarmuid for his highly commended award for his REPORTAGE of the Special Olympics in Limerick for Sportsfile.

Some really lovely stuff there Sean. Particularly like hunting the light, beautiful clean images, has an almost meditative feel to it. Into the light is great too. Love the one of Ruby, such an unusual setting for a horse and jockey pic. Well done on doing great work, thanks for sharing and better luck next year. Cheers, Brian
